Lender announces 2 week special for first home buyers and refinancers

TWO SUPER SPECIALS FOR TWO WEEKS ONLY (COMMENCING MONDAY 30TH JUNE 2008 UNTIL SUNDAY 20TH JULY 2008)

1) FIRST HOME BUYERS OFFER

First Home buyers eligible for the NSW/ACT Government First Home Owner Grant can apply for a First Option Home Loan with NIL Establishment Fee ($600 saving), NO Monthly Maintenance Fee ($10 per month saving) and an extra 0.12 percent discount on the First Option Home Loan rate.

The First Option Home Loan allows the customer to make additional repayments at any time and also access their redraw facility.

Westpac increases Fixed Interest Home Loan Rates

Westpac have announced new fixed interest rates effective from the 15th July 2008.

The following fixed rate home loans are increasing by 0.20 percent from the above date.

  • 2 year fixed
  • 3 year fixed
  • 4 year fixed
  • 5 year fixed
  • 6 year (Fixed Rate IPL only) fixed
  • 7 year fixed
  • 9 year (Fixed Rate IPL only) fixed
  • 10 year fixed
  • 12 year (Fixed Rate IPL only) fixed

Home loan variable interest rates increases from banks

Banks increase variable interest rates for home loans

There were additional increases in the variable interest rates for home loans outside the recent Reserve Bank of Australia increase earlier this month.

Westpac Banking Corporation has announced an increase to the standard variable rate home loans available from Westpac of 10 basis points, 0.10 percent.
