- 3 Year Fixed Rate decreased by 0.50%
- 5 Year Fixed Rate decreased by 0.50%

Affinity Fixed Rate Loans ($250,000 and above)
- 1 Year Fixed Rate decreased by 0.50%
- 2 Year Fixed Rate decreased by 1.00%
- 3 Year Fixed Rate decreased by 0.50%

AMP reduces home loan variable interest rate

AMP are decreasing interest rates on variable rate home loans loans and lines of credit by 0.88 percent p.a.

The change is effective for new business from Wednesday 17 December 2008 and Friday 19 December 2008 for existing business.

AMP Lowers Home Loans 0.75 percent

AMP Banking have announced the full 0.75 percent RBA cut will be passed on to customers.

Variable Rate Loans - changes effective as detailed below

  • All variable rate loans are decreasing by 0.75% pa
  • Effective Sunday 16 November 2008 for new business
  • Effective Monday 17 November 2008 for existing business
  • Changes impact all variable rate loans and lines of credit, including Practice Finance, Adviser Register & CAPs Loans

The volatility on financial markets continues to significantly impact AMP Banking cost of funds, with the flow-on effect of AMP Banking having to review pricing - however, the Bank continues to absorb a significant portion of the higher funding costs.
